Rescuing people on the mountain is not easy, especially when there is fog. Explore the fog, avoid the bears, and find the people. Easy, right?

In this challenging minesweeper-inspired game, you are tasked with piecing together which path is safe and which leads to certain death.

Tutorial:

  • Click a fog tile to reveal it
  • You can only reveal tiles adjacent to other explored tiles
  • 2 Tiles are adjacent if they share an edge OR a corner: each tile has 8 neighbours
  • Mountains cannot be explored
  • Each revealed tile has a number that tells you how many bears are adjacent to it (out of its 8 neighbours)
  • If you reveal a bear, you lose
  • Combine the information of multiple tiles to explore safely
  • Reveal all survivors to win
  • Right click to place flags to remind yourself where bears are. Flags are to help you think, they have no impact on the game
  • Place flags where you are CERTAIN there are bears, so that you can work out where the bears aren't
  • WASD to move the camera
  • Some tiles give you items when they are revealed, which will help you on your journey. If you are stuck, explore in other directions
  • To use an item, click the item, then click the tile you want to use it on
  • There is generally at least one fog tile you can work out is not a bear for certain
  • Almost all rounds can be solved without guessing, with a bit of ingenuity. However, you may occasionally have to test your luck...

Example of How to Solve

Consider this example. You know that tile `h` has a bear next to it. Since `e` is the only unknown tile next to it `e` must be a bear. Now, consider that tile `f` has one bear next to it. We already know `e` is a bear, so `a`,`b` and `c` all have to be free of bears. Now consider that tile `g` also has one bear next to it. Since we know that `b` and `c` are not bears, that leaves `d` as the only unknown tile. Therefore, `d` must be a bear. We can safely reveal `a`, `b` and `c` and put flags on `d` and `e`.
